2. What data we collect
When a homeowner or client uses our quote widget or WhatsApp bot, we collect:
- Name (if provided)
- Phone number and/or email address
- Project details (type, size, location, timeline, budget)
- IP address and device type (for rate limiting and security)
When a building contractor signs up, we collect:
- Business name and WhatsApp number
- Email address and password (stored as a bcrypt hash — never in plain text)
- Billing information (handled entirely by Stripe — we never store card details)
3. How we use your data
- To deliver qualified leads to the relevant building contractor via WhatsApp
- To provide and improve the ClearLead Estimator service
- To send transactional communications (lead notifications, account alerts)
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Who we share data with
We share data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate our platform:
- Twilio — delivers WhatsApp messages on our behalf
- Supabase — stores lead and builder data securely (EU/US data centres)
- Stripe — processes subscription payments
- Render — hosts the application
5. Data retention
Lead data is retained for as long as the relevant builder account is active. Builders may request deletion of their account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at bryan@clearleadestimator.com.
7. Cookies
We use session cookies solely to keep admin users logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
